Nephrology

A children's nephrologist is a subspecialist dealing with treatment of innate and acquired diseases of kidneys and urinary tract.

The most common problems children's nephrologists encounter include urinary infections, blood or proteins in urine, pathological results of individual parameters in the blood, congenital kidney problems, problems with the bladder and high blood pressure.

What do we provide?

In addition to anamnesis and review of medical documentation, our nephrologist will also carry out a physical examination and possibly include additional diagnostics (laboratory analyses or ultrasound examination).

In our clinic you can also receive tips on how to properly take a urin sample for analysis (which is not a simple procedure for children), and what to do to prevent urinary infections and complications, such as kidney damage, in case of repeated infections.

When to see a nephrologist?

Urinary infections are common in children. They often occur together with other illnesses, especially in early childhood, and it is therefore very important to recognize them on time, conduct the necessary testing and treatment.

Look for our help if your child complains about pain when urinating, if urinary infections are recurring, if they have urinating disorders or bedwetting, or if your chosen pediatrician suspected on kidney or urinary tract diseases and suggested your child should see a nephrologist.
